Communal Spaces

The cottages are located at the southern end of a private 50-acre wooded valley, around which there are lovely scenic walks, including around a c.2 acre lake, which guests are welcome to explore and enjoy.

To the north of the cottages is a large, historic double-Linhay barn, known as the "party barn", in which there is a stage for any budding young actors/actresses, table tennis table, table football and pool table, which again guests are welcome to make use of.

We have a selection of children's and adult bikes which guests are very welcome to borrow (there is a great cycle along a stunning path next to the River Teign to the Fingle Inn Pub). Please bring appropriate safety gear with you as we do not provide any here.

We also have a library of reference books, plant, bird and mammal identification guides, walk and cycle books which you are also welcome to borrow, and a holiday book exchange pool.

The photos below are of Clifford Barton and the surrounding area. All of which is in walking distance from the cottages.
