Self-Catering Cottages

Our calendar shows which weeks are still available.

Each of our two cottages sleeps six people. They are simply furnished, warm and comfortable with fitted carpets, night storage heaters, double-glazing and wood-burning stoves for cooler weather. They have small private gardens with a south facing patio and a picnic table. There is plenty of parking space including sheltered, secure parking for bicycles. In each cottage is a dishwasher, microwave oven, fridge-freezer, television, video recorder, and pay phone.

Downstairs there is a sitting room, kitchen, shower room and an open staircase to the landing. Upstairs there is a bathroom and three bedrooms. One bedroom has a double bed. The second has twin beds and a steep ships-ladder staircase leading to a gallery bedroom. This has two futons and is suitable for children and active adults.

Pets are welcome at Clifford Barton, and the surrounding farmland and lake provide opportunities for local walks. The cottages are open all year round including Christmas and New Year. From October to March we accept weekend breaks and long winter lets. Click here to see our prices.

The Teign Valley is a beautiful wooded valley on the North East edge of Dartmoor. Large areas are owned by the National Trust and some areas are managed by the Devon Wildlife Trust . Within half a mile of the cottages there is access to a network of paths and tracks through varied woodland, often alongside the river, which provide opportunities for gentle strolls, energetic walks, including the Two Moors Way, and off road cycling.
